Malaysian Skills Certificate ( SKM )
Malaysian Skills Certification is one of the main functions of DSD. This certification offers five (5) levels of certification ie :
Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 1
Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 2
Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3
Malaysian Skills Diploma (DKM) Level 4
Malaysian Skills Advanced Diploma (DLKM) Level 5
Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 1 Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 2 Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 Malaysian Skills Diploma (DKM) Level 4 Malaysian Skills Advanced Diploma (DLKM) Level 5
Malaysian Skills Certification are available through three (3) ways:
1. Through a Recognized Training Institutions
Methods through training programs at accredited centers in the field of DSD and the specific skills and was commissioned.
2. Through the Industry-Oriented Training (NDTS)Apprenticeship training methods in the National Dual Training System (BM) is carried out in industry and training institutes.
3. Using Accreditation of Prior Achievement (PPT)Method for the Malaysian Skills Certification through past experience (work or training) without having to sit the test.
Candidates are required to submit evidence of skill that has been held for review by the Review Officer and confirmed by the External Verification Officer appointed by DSD.

Minimum conditions participated in the Malaysian Skills Certification Accreditation by Institutional Training Method recognized, candidates must:
able to speak and write in Malay or English
able to speak and write in Malay or English has a lower SKM level to participate in the high SKM level in the course of the same.(* However, Accredited Centre can set others conditions to their trainees)
